About Greener Pastures Sanctuary (GPS)
Greener Pastures Sanctuary (GPS) is a not-for-profit animal sanctuary in Serpentine, Western Australia, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and providing lifelong care to farmed animals who have experienced cruelty, neglect, exploitation or abandonment.
For over 13 years, GPS has provided a safe haven for animals who might otherwise have faced slaughter, ongoing suffering or an uncertain future. Our residents include pigs, sheep, goats, cows, horses, ponies, chickens and other farmed animals. Each has their own story, personality and individual needs, and every animal is treated with the compassion, dignity and respect they deserve.
Through our guided public tours, we invite people to meet the animals, hear their individual rescue stories and learn about the industries they have come from. We explain the realities faced by farmed animals and challenge the common perception that these animals are simply commodities rather than sentient individuals capable of feeling pain, fear, joy and affection.
We believe meaningful change begins with education, understanding and compassion. Every visitor who leaves with a different perspective, every conversation that challenges the status quo and every person inspired to make kinder choices contributes to a stronger movement for farmed animal justice.
Greener Pastures Sanctuary is more than a rescue facility. We are a place of refuge, education and advocacy, giving animals a voice and helping create a future where all animals are recognised as individuals deserving of a life free from exploitation and suffering.
Our mission is simple: rescue lives, change minds and inspire a more compassionate world for farmed animals.
